Karaoke Discs and Karaoke Mixers
Karaoke Discs
There are currently 3 basic popular formats for Karaoke Discs. Midi Karaoke Discs are the Karaoke Discs that are recorded with as many as 40,000 songs and each song on the Karaoke Discs is assigned with a computer code (song no.). To select your song on the Karaoke Discs, just press the song no!
The other two Karaoke Discs formats are VCD and CDG Karaoke Discs. VCD Karaoke Discs are compressed Karaoke Discs, normally recorded with about 14 songs in Multiplex. i.e. recorded with a vocal that can be removed by a Karaoke Machine.
CDG Karaoke Discs are not compression discs. Therefore, the sound quality is just like regular Music CD. Most CDG Karaoke Discs are recorded without vocal, just instrumental. When played on a CDG Karaoke Machines, the song lyric will display on the TV screen. Because it is also a Music CD, it can also be played on a CD player. That’s why performers always practice their songs on CDG and will perform the same song with the same version on the CDG Karaoke Discs with confidence. CDG Karaoke Discs are indeed instrumental tracks and indeed performance tracks.
